General Sexual Health Information

Both men and women need to look after their sexual health and take time to understand the issues that surround contraception and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

For instance there are some STIs, like chlamydia, that you could be carrying without having any symptoms. This infection can affect fertility, so it's important to make use of the sexual health services available for free on the NHS.

Sexual Transmitted Disease Screening

Somerset-Wide Integrated Sexual Health Service run clinics all over Somerset, including Bridgwater. There are pre-bookable appointments and walk in clinics available.

They offer a wide range of contraception services as well as sexual health testing and screening.

Contact tracing is available for patients who develop a sexually transmited infection. The service is fully confidential and does not appear on your general medical record.
